The Beatles may be finally coming to the ditital music world. According to Fortune, iTunes is close to a deal to bring the Beatles catalog online. Other music stores, such as Microsoft's (Charts) MSN and Rhapsody, have courted the Beatles over the years to no avail, but it appears Apple is close to getting first dibs on the band's hits.

Car-to-car communication has nothing to do with gesturing after a close call on the highway. Futurists foresee a time when cars will use systems of GPS and WiFi tech to let them communicate with each other, relaying information about road conditions and traffic anomalies to prevent smash-ups. DaimlerChrysler is testing such a system -- dubbed Willwarn (Wireless Local Danger Warning), with which vehicles are able to "warn" of critical situations picked up by on-board sensors, such as fog, black ice or obstacles such as broken-down car.

G is extending their chocolate phone series to Windows Mobile pocket pc phone with the introduction of KC1 for Korea. Presented in ITU communication show in Hong Kong, the KC1 support the Wimax connection, has a big 2.8" QVGA touch screen, 2 megapixel camera and microSD slot.

Rocking a touchscreen display but eschewing a standard keypad altogether is the all-new NEC N6206 (also dubbed the N908) cell phone being showcased at ITU Telecom World 2006. Your primary controls are via the touchscreen interface, but from there you'll be able to boot up the integrated music player, load up its Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and preview those snazzy snapshots you'll be taking with the built-in camera (there is a separate shutter button, thankfully).
