Engadget got a few new pics and details on Nokia's upcoming 870 Internet Tablet. According to their tipster, things have pepped up quite considerably under the hood, and internal memory has been bumped to 180MB, but the architecture is relatively unchanged. The 870 runs the exact same Internet 2006 OS as the 770. It has a new webcam and SD slot for expansion memory - it also comes with a headset for VoIP action.

One of Google's senior executives has criticized mobile phone operators for trying to prevent their users from accessing Internet applications. Chris Sacca, head of special initiatives at Google, revealed on Monday that operators have lobbied the search giant, asking it to stop people accessing Google Mobile Maps.
