Looks like Verizon Wireless has decided to internally announce their newest Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone to the lineup, the Black Motorola Q. Now, we know that it looks similar to its silver brother externally, but it comes with a software update named MOL2. This update corrects such issues as the Goodlink data stall issue, adds jog dial control via Bluetooth headset and improves battery life.

Palm's purchase of expanded rights to the Palm OS source code—including to use it "in any product from Palm and together with any other system technologies"—is not so much about getting the right to develop more products on the aging Palm OS Garnet platform. It's more likely about getting the right to add Garnet compatibility to a next-generation Palm OS that Palm themselves will develop. ACCESS didn't gain Palm as a licensee for its ACCESS Linux Platform, but if Palm turns Garnet into an execution environment that runs on two (or more) platforms, this may give new lif
