Rocking a touchscreen display but eschewing a standard keypad altogether is the all-new NEC N6206 (also dubbed the N908) cell phone being showcased at ITU Telecom World 2006. Your primary controls are via the touchscreen interface, but from there you'll be able to boot up the integrated music player, load up its Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and preview those snazzy snapshots you'll be taking with the built-in camera (there is a separate shutter button, thankfully).

Designed for people who need a bit more computing and a bit less mobility in their mobile computing devices, the HTC Athena looks more like a UMPC than previous HTC smartphones that we've seen. Featuring a removable QWERTY keyboard, the Athena has a 3.5-inch touchscreen QVGA display (they should have went VGA for a screen this size), 256MB ROM, 64MB RAM, 400MHz Samsung processor, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g, 2-megapixel camera, USB 1.1 and a SD expansion slot.

Balloophone is a concept for smartphones featuring a color touchscreen, the tail of the balloon serves as a USB connector to interchage data between the smartphone and a computer. Although I think it should use, Bluetooth or infrared connection for that.

Check it Apple, LG just went official with their iPhone look-a-like LG KE850 Prada phone which they proudly tout as the world's "first completely touch screen mobile phone." Er, unless you consider the ones from Motorola, HTC, and others. The N800 is an evolutionary step above the older model, the N770. It features a (rumored, faster 320 Mhz ) TI CPU, two SD slots, 128 MB RAM, 256 MB flash storage, 4.1" 800x480 touchscreen, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphones jack and mini-USB port. On the top of the device you will find the zoom buttons, the fullscreen on/off button and the microphone while on the front of the device there is a 5-way joypad and 3 additional buttons: close application/window, application's menu and task-switch. On the left side there is a retractable VGA video-call camera. Below the device you will find a very practical kickstand, which is very nice if you are using your N800 to watch movies.
